How are Shift Types Managed?

The items displayed on your shift schedule, such as DAY, NIGHT, and OFF, are called Shift Types. CareWokx allows Shift Types to be managed differently depending on whether they are personal or Team(workplace)-affiliated.

🧩 Default Shift Types Provided

When you first install the app, the following Shift Types are provided by default. This configuration is used commonly for both individuals and Team(workplace)s.

• Standard Shifts: DAY, EVE, NIGHT, MID-DAY, SPLIT, 24H
• Custom Shifts: C1, C2, C3 (You can freely change these names)
• Time-Off Types: OFF, R (Annual Leave), ½ (Half-Day Leave)

⚙️ Who Manages Shift Types?

Shift Types are managed in the two ways described below:

1. My Shift Types (Set by Individual)

• A basic set is provided when you install the app.

• You can modify names, add/delete items, and set notifications.

• The Notification feature plays music at a set time. It only works when your device is set to Ringtone Mode.

• The Shift Types you modify remain unchanged, even if you join or leave a different Team(workplace).

2. Team(workplace) Shift Types (Set by Team(workplace))

• When you join a Team(workplace), the Shift Types defined by that Team(workplace) are automatically applied.

• Team(workplace) Shift Types can only be modified by the administrator.

Q. What happens to Shift Types when a Team(workplace) is deleted?

If you tap [My Team(workplace) Info] at the top of the [Shift] tab, a list of Team(workplace)s you have belonged to is shown. If you delete an old Team(workplace) (e.g., 'Team(workplace) 1') from this list:

• The Shift Types used in that Team(workplace) are automatically converted to your personal Shift Types, and
• Your shift schedule will no longer be visible to the members remaining in that Team(workplace).

Q. How are the Shift Start Date and Shift Schedule Viewing Range set?

When you join a Team(workplace), your Join Date is automatically set as the Shift Start Date.

• If an older shift schedule is needed, the administrator must adjust the Shift Start Date.

📌 In Summary,

• Your personal Shift Types and the Team(workplace) Shift Types are saved separately.

• Even if you leave or delete a Team(workplace), the entered shift schedule does not disappear.

• The Shift Start Date is automatically set, but can be adjusted by the administrator.
